No Trace run an initiative to support and develop BAME careers in the advertising production industry. We are currently looking for people interested in junior/entry level/trainee or assistant roles on short-term advertising shoots across the full range of departments from camera, sound, edit and running to costume, make-up, art dept and all other relevant production and post-production services.

MAMA Youth offers a series of training programmes throughout the year. Dreaming of starting a career in broadcast journalism? Then Breaking into News is for you. The competition offers aspiring journalists from across England, Wales and Northern Ireland the opportunity to create a local news report with support and advice from experienced journalists working in ten of ITV’s regional newsrooms. No media or journalism experience is required to enter, just passion and a great idea for a potential news story.

This is a special scheme aimed at new entrants into the industry (less than 12 months work experience and no media degree). We have a number of 9-month internships available across our production departments. During your time at Lime we will give you in depth on the job training to help you develop broad understanding, knowledge and experience in your chosen area, and at the end of the 9 months you will be well-equipped to apply for entry level positions across the media industry.

Inside Pictures is for senior film executives who have a minimum of 8 years experience in the industry. You do not have to be based in Europe or hold a European passport in order to be eligible. However, you will need to be able to demonstrate your commitment to working in and with the European film industry. It is an intensive film business training and leadership skills development programme presented by the National Film & Television School. Supported by Creative Europe and ScreenSkills, the programme is for film & TV industry executives from all disciplines. Inside Pictures is looking for 20 ambitious film executives and entrepreneurial producers who are determined to expand their knowledge of how the international business of film really works, extend their network of high-level contacts, raise their profile and become skilled, knowledgeable and adaptable leaders.

Age and experience isn’t a barrier, we are looking for voices that are often unheard in the mainstream media. It’s My Shout is a training scheme, based in Wales, providing training for all ages interested in gaining experience in Film. Each year we produce short films for BBC Wales, S4C, Welsh Government and Arts Council of Wales. We offer a wide range of opportunities in the creative industry, sharing experiences, skills and confidence with everyone. We are extremely passionate about nurturing, developing and discovering new talent.

Grierson DocLab is the training branch of The Grierson Trust. The core Grierson DocLab programme has run since 2012 and helps new entrants thrive in the world of factual TV and documentary filmmaking.
